Since becoming pregnant I have pretty much let everything go, especially remembering to write on here. :) So I am going attempt to catch up, hopefully my memory will serve me well.
December 10, Happy Anniversary to us!
There was not much excitement from both our parts for this years anniversary, mostly because of being so tight on money. And it definitely didn't help that I have been extremely moody, tired and how shall I say...not wanting dustin to come near me?.. Dustin tried hard, as always to make the best of it. He made me a deep fat fried spaghetti and meatball dinner, yes he fried the meatballs. It took a lot of effort on my sick pregnant self not to comment and act like I loved it. :)
Several people asked to take Jonah from us, but we really didn't see any reason, he really enjoyed the meatballs. After dinner we got in the car and drove around town to look at Christmas lights, Jonah's favorite thing to do. He loves to look at lights and talk about baby Jesus and Santa Clause. After we put Jonah to bed we got in bed ourselves and talked about the past year. At first we talked about all things that had been really stressful and seemed unfair. Then Dustin suggested we read the scriptures, after doing so we could feel the spirit enter our home and we started talking about all the things that we had been blessed with. We realized how bad our attitudes had been this past year, and that we really hadn't been very diligent in our daily scripture study and prayer. We made a goal as a companionship to do both of these things daily, no matter what. And I think we can both honestly say we have been happier because of it. Not to say I'm not stressed out all of the time, but I feel more confident in good things happening.
On our way to the "love" in :)
December 25, Christmas!
This year was our turn to be with my family, so we packed up all our stuff(it's amazing how much you need for just one kid) and went to Salt Lake for a week. I had decided to work at Great Harvest, one of my past jobs, so we could make a little extra money. We are ridiculous parents who spoil our child, and really we wanted to buy him a train table. So I woke my pregnant self up at 4 in the am and worked 12 hour shifts for 5 days. I realized (too late) how crazy I was to be doing such. I came home hardly able to walk most days because my feet were so sore. Dustin played mommy and entertained Jonah and I'm pretty sure fed him mac and cheese everyday that week. :) Was it worth it? Absolutely, he loves that train table, and hopefully siblings to come will too!
The Monday before Christmas we had a family get together with Dad's side of the family. It was at Aunt Chris' house and I think almost everyone was there, including our cute Grams and Gramps. Not realizing it would be our last time together with Grandma we got a family pic with all the grandkids, and one with all the great's. I had a chance to sit down with Grandma and let her hold Jonah and tell her how much I love her. A very nice memory now.
Christmas night was spent at Erin's house, unfortunately not everyone was there. It was Erin and Justin there kiddies, us, Sam, Nate, Mary and Mom and Dad. We had dinner and like always went and caroled . We definitely were not the same without Ann's strong soprano voice. I think mostly mom and Erin sang solos. But at least we provided a few minutes of good entertainment for some random people. :)
We then acted out the nativity, which was sort of tricky seeing as most of the effort went to keeping the clothes on the kids.
Christmas morning, Jonah woke up at about 6 so we let him get in bed with us. I had to run to the bathroom and while I was gone Dustin had the urge to tell Jonah that Santa Clause had come and that he had brought lots of presents for him to open. When I got back in bed all Jonah could say was, "Santa Clause," "presents," upstairs?" Needless to say there was no going back to bed and Christmas morning started way to early for only having one really young child. :)
Overall it was a fun and festive time. Mostly just fun to watch Jonah experience it. He still thinks all presents are from Santa Clause. We will see how that goes at his Birthday.

This was such a special day. sad. But so special. Grandpa seemed so fragile, and that was really hard to see, I just wanted to keep hugging him. I learned a lot about my Grandma this day, and felt the spirit so strongly.
Dad played "Jesus once as a Little Child" on the violin, and cried like Ive never seen him before. It was really sweet, and brought a special spirit.
I especially liked hearing the story of how Grams and Gramps met. They were at a St. Patricks day dance in California, and each had a clover with a song title. When the song was played they had to go find their match. Their song being "Till the end of Time." My Grandpa always say, "All because two people fell in love." How true and amazing that statement is, I'm sure it is neat so look back at your life and see what you helped create.
Memory's of Grandma
Getting a Birthday card every year, until she got too old to remember.
Getting the dollar amount of my age in my card.
Visiting her as a child and getting to eat all the candy I wanted.
Her chopping all our bangs really short and making mom furious. :)
Bossing Grandpa around, all the time.
She and Grandpa talking about their missions, and disputing the correct way to pronounce, "aboriginals."
Always being generous and wanting to help you in any way.
Wanting to know everything about your life, in great detail.
Games. all games, especially "skipBo" and "Hand and foot."
Living with them in her older years, in St. George and she still tried to wait on me hand and foot. She also would remind me often that as a 20 year old I wasn't getting any younger and better start looking for a husband. :)
I am going to miss my Grandma dearly, and am grateful for the example she has been to me in my life. I can't wait to see her again!
Almost all of the great grandchildren
Almost all of the grandchildren
If only Jonah looked happy.. :)
