Oliver

Dustin recently bought a big fancy printer so I decided I would start journal writing again since I can now print the pages out.

Oliver was born June 23, about 6 months ago. He was 9 days late, I was induced he would have been even later and even bigger if it would have been his way.. He was 9 lbs 7 oz. He was born early in the morning. I was in labor all night long, it was just Dustin and I, we took a lot of laps trying to get him to come.

You were surprisingly big, and you had so much dark hair. I was so excited to finally see you! You have such a sweet personality. You are quiet and reserved, and you love to smile. You love your big brother so much, Jonah can make you laugh harder then anyone. You look up to him a lot. You are a big boy you are around 18 lbs. We are so glad to have you!

FHE Tradition Continues On.

Jonah loves to sing, especially if he can wave a spoon around. It's fun to watch. Next time I might close the TV cabinet just in case he decides to get too crazy with it.
We wrote in our journals for FHE. We are going to do that each Monday now. Yeah for journals. I feel like it's a good idea ever since I became a Family History Consultant. Glad Abby had a start it again.

Potty Time!

Of course you got to have some reading material. You want to know the funniest thing about this picture? Jonah seems iffy about the whole poo and pee in the potty thing. So daddy felt he needed a wingman. I pulled out the little potty next to the toilet and went pee in it. It made the whole revving up sound. Jonah thought that it was pretty great. Hopefully I gave him some encouragement.

IKEA

Family night is the best.

Jonah, Abby and I decided to go get some movies from BOOKS OF YESTERDAY. Jonah wanted to get the movie Cars. So we watched it before bedtime. Mommy and daddy had a blanket so Jonah wanted one too.

My Birthday Boy!

If ever a kid was excited for a Birthday, it was Jonah. He has been obsessed with cakes, candles, "fireworks," (matches) and the Birthday song for months now. We had a few friends and family over for a party and he had a blast! He kept trying to open the gifts while no one was looking. :) He was just beaming the whole time and was so grateful to everyone that gave him gifts. He thanked everyone individually and hugged them.

We made, (what Dustin and I would call a sad mess) a Thomas cake. The cake we used was way to soft, the frosting was really drippy and he kind of looks like he is melting.. But Jonah loved him. He wanted us to sing Happy Birthday again and again.. We were prepared for a mess this time (unlike last year) we had him dressed down and on a table all to himself. He poked at the frosting for a minute and then asked for a fork.

He still talks about his "Thomas cake" or sometimes his "happy cake." I showed him some pictures of it yesterday and he said, "I wanna go there!"

I can't believe he is already two, time seems to go faster all the time and before I know it I will be sharing my love with three boys. :) Jonah is such a fun, creative, polite, and most of the time giving child. We have so much fun together during the day, I love how much he is learning every single day, sometimes I'm amazed at the things he says. I am so grateful to be a mom, I thank my heavenly father every day for him. He is my pal and I love him a lot.

Sneaking one of his gifts..

He really liked this monster truck.

Our melting Thomas :)

It's another Boy!

We had our ultrasound today, and found out we are having another boy! Jonah's been telling us it was a "bruder" for a couple weeks now. I totally thought it was a girl for the first little while, mainly because my pregnancy had been so different. We are excited though, and we won't have to buy any clothes...that's nice. We didn't really get that many great pics, he was curled up in a little ball for most of it. They are mostly of his man parts. :)

Cute little bum..

Catching up..

Since becoming pregnant I have pretty much let everything go, especially remembering to write on here. :) So I am going attempt to catch up, hopefully my memory will serve me well.

December 10, Happy Anniversary to us!
There was not much excitement from both our parts for this years anniversary, mostly because of being so tight on money. And it definitely didn't help that I have been extremely moody, tired and how shall I say...not wanting dustin to come near me?.. Dustin tried hard, as always to make the best of it. He made me a deep fat fried spaghetti and meatball dinner, yes he fried the meatballs. It took a lot of effort on my sick pregnant self not to comment and act like I loved it. :)

Several people asked to take Jonah from us, but we really didn't see any reason, he really enjoyed the meatballs. After dinner we got in the car and drove around town to look at Christmas lights, Jonah's favorite thing to do. He loves to look at lights and talk about baby Jesus and Santa Clause. After we put Jonah to bed we got in bed ourselves and talked about the past year. At first we talked about all things that had been really stressful and seemed unfair. Then Dustin suggested we read the scriptures, after doing so we could feel the spirit enter our home and we started talking about all the things that we had been blessed with. We realized how bad our attitudes had been this past year, and that we really hadn't been very diligent in our daily scripture study and prayer. We made a goal as a companionship to do both of these things daily, no matter what. And I think we can both honestly say we have been happier because of it. Not to say I'm not stressed out all of the time, but I feel more confident in good things happening.

On our way to the "love" in :)

December 25, Christmas!
This year was our turn to be with my family, so we packed up all our stuff(it's amazing how much you need for just one kid) and went to Salt Lake for a week. I had decided to work at Great Harvest, one of my past jobs, so we could make a little extra money. We are ridiculous parents who spoil our child, and really we wanted to buy him a train table. So I woke my pregnant self up at 4 in the am and worked 12 hour shifts for 5 days. I realized (too late) how crazy I was to be doing such. I came home hardly able to walk most days because my feet were so sore. Dustin played mommy and entertained Jonah and I'm pretty sure fed him mac and cheese everyday that week. :) Was it worth it? Absolutely, he loves that train table, and hopefully siblings to come will too!

The Monday before Christmas we had a family get together with Dad's side of the family. It was at Aunt Chris' house and I think almost everyone was there, including our cute Grams and Gramps. Not realizing it would be our last time together with Grandma we got a family pic with all the grandkids, and one with all the great's. I had a chance to sit down with Grandma and let her hold Jonah and tell her how much I love her. A very nice memory now.
Christmas night was spent at Erin's house, unfortunately not everyone was there. It was Erin and Justin there kiddies, us, Sam, Nate, Mary and Mom and Dad. We had dinner and like always went and caroled . We definitely were not the same without Ann's strong soprano voice. I think mostly mom and Erin sang solos. But at least we provided a few minutes of good entertainment for some random people. :)

We then acted out the nativity, which was sort of tricky seeing as most of the effort went to keeping the clothes on the kids.

Christmas morning, Jonah woke up at about 6 so we let him get in bed with us. I had to run to the bathroom and while I was gone Dustin had the urge to tell Jonah that Santa Clause had come and that he had brought lots of presents for him to open. When I got back in bed all Jonah could say was, "Santa Clause," "presents," upstairs?" Needless to say there was no going back to bed and Christmas morning started way to early for only having one really young child. :)

Overall it was a fun and festive time. Mostly just fun to watch Jonah experience it. He still thinks all presents are from Santa Clause. We will see how that goes at his Birthday.

Caleb as an angel.
Zach was one happy Joseph
Justin was an angel that wanted to show off his legs..
The boys taking a Xmas Eve bath
Opening his stalking
More art supplies. :)
His favorite gift of all!
Ally and Brad gave his some sweet shoes he was really excited about
His dazed and confused look after getting off Santa's lap.

This was such a special day. sad. But so special. Grandpa seemed so fragile, and that was really hard to see, I just wanted to keep hugging him. I learned a lot about my Grandma this day, and felt the spirit so strongly.

Dad played "Jesus once as a Little Child" on the violin, and cried like Ive never seen him before. It was really sweet, and brought a special spirit.

I especially liked hearing the story of how Grams and Gramps met. They were at a St. Patricks day dance in California, and each had a clover with a song title. When the song was played they had to go find their match. Their song being "Till the end of Time." My Grandpa always say, "All because two people fell in love." How true and amazing that statement is, I'm sure it is neat so look back at your life and see what you helped create.

Memory's of Grandma
Getting a Birthday card every year, until she got too old to remember.
Getting the dollar amount of my age in my card.
Visiting her as a child and getting to eat all the candy I wanted.
Her chopping all our bangs really short and making mom furious. :)
Bossing Grandpa around, all the time.
She and Grandpa talking about their missions, and disputing the correct way to pronounce, "aboriginals."
Always being generous and wanting to help you in any way.
Wanting to know everything about your life, in great detail.
Games. all games, especially "skipBo" and "Hand and foot."
Living with them in her older years, in St. George and she still tried to wait on me hand and foot. She also would remind me often that as a 20 year old I wasn't getting any younger and better start looking for a husband. :)

I am going to miss my Grandma dearly, and am grateful for the example she has been to me in my life. I can't wait to see her again!

If only Jonah looked happy.. :)

About two months ago Jonah took a serious interest in drawing. He would draw all day if I would stay by his side and continually praise him, as well as draw with him. He chases me down and hands me a crayon saying, "here mama." He waits to make sure I follow him back to wherever his art easel may be. And if by chance I don't follow him, right away, he gives me a piece of his mind. His favorite things to draw are, but not limited to: choo choo, snowman, plane, any kind of animal, truck, jeep, and stars.(occasionally they really look like stars too) He prefers to color with markers, of course, however after way too many mishaps of him either dropping them or running down the hallway with them, they have disappeared.. Here are a few pictures of him hard at work. :)

This was one of those run down the hallway and back drawings. :)

"Helping" Dustin with his homework.

This is usually how much he draws in a day or two.

In Honor of Finals Week

Abby & I Suck At Christmas!

So we got this really cool train table for Jonah. He will love it... or should I say he does love it. I saw it at home. (It came via UPS). I told Abby that it would be annoying to have to put it together Christmas day when we got home from SLC. So I told her that I should put it together in the back room so that we can just bring it out on Christmas. Next thing you know the table is together and Jonah and I are playing with his trains. I felt bad cause now it wouldn't so fun on Christmas morning. So after Jonah went to bed I packed it back into boxes hoping he would forget about it until Christmas.

So big..

So, this morning I was feeling extra sick and especially tired after another sleepless night. Dustin fed Jonah breakfast for me and headed off to work. I decided I needed to lye down for a bit, so I put Thomas on for Jonah and left my door open. About five minutes into the show, he rushed in saying, " 'mon mama, choo choo!" I told him mommy had to lay down just for a bit, so he ran back out to the t.v. A couple minutes later he comes running in again, stops and looks at me then goes over to a pile of clothes on the floor and grabs two articles. He rushes back to me and while handing me the clothes says, "here go mama" with a big grin on his face. He is so cute, I can hardly stand it sometimes! He is not my baby any more.. :(

This was this summer at Bear Lake, man he is cute. :)

Jonah, Jonah, Jonah...

So last night Abby and Mary were getting ready to go work out. I was putting Jonah down for the night. He was increda-pissed because we made him stop drawing, (he didn't want to). He was screaming at me as I was walking out of the room. I happened to turn and glance at him as I turned around the door and he had climbed over the crib railing and was headed to the ground. His face broke his fall. It freaked me out. With in 1 second he had climbed and jumped to his doom. I grabbed a light, to check for dilation. Abby wanted to know. He is fine. I stayed in the room pretending to be asleep just to make sure he was safe. Abby was sure he wouldn't attempt it again. I kn ow those stubborn Auman jeans better though. He did attempt it two more times before I took apart his crib and put his mattress on the floor. He was so upset! Long story short after jumping on the bed and hitting his mouth hard on the side he had a pretty bad night. But now Abby and I need to get this whole bed thing going. The crib doesn't fit his needs anymore. Needs being, keeping him in it. Oh well. So the pages of our lives turn. (dude! I got the right lives. usually I put lifes). PS increda-pissed is a trade marked word. It means so mad that the person affected has no conscious thought processes. Is extremely red in the face with snot, tears, and heat protruding from the body, and much like the Hulk has no recollection of their doings when they awake from their rampage. Yes even a small man consisting of only 25 lbs of blood and guts can become very intimidating when increda-pissed.

Halloweenie Fun

So first off Friday night we had a Murder Mystery Party that my sisters threw for my Birthday. If you have never been to one you should, they are hilarious, kinda scandalous, but hilarious. Most of us were Italian, Sam, Ann, and Sara did a super job on their accents, so funny. It was just my family and all about deceit and affair, sounds terrible... Josh made his famous pasta, amazing. And Sara made a really yummy cheesecake. It was a really fun night, thanks again guys!

Halloween, Dustin had the clever idea last year of making Jonah, "Jonah in the Whale" we never got around to it. We figured next year he will have an opinion about what he wants to be, so we got an early start on it this year, and with some help from Jackie accomplished it pretty well. He was the cutest whale I've ever seen. We spent the day with Barney, Jackie, Kate, Mandi, Haylie, Sara, Bella, Rhi, Jacob and last but NOT least Ann! :) We started off at the mall, WAY too many people, and then hit up Main Street, and ended doing some around the neighborhood with Sara and the girls. When Jonah received his first piece of candy in his bucket, a tootsie roll, he immediately took a big bite out of it, wrapper and all! He hasn't done that since he was really little, not sure why he did it. He continued to instantly grab each piece of candy for the first 6 or 7. Needless to say he ate way too much candy that day, and really not much else. He didn't really get the whole going around to different stores thing, he really just wanted to eat his candy and play. He was so hyped up on candy he never took a nap, never stopped jumping around really and crashed hard at about 7.

Rocco Scarfazzi and Tara Misu, look at that chest hair... :)

Mama Rosa and Father Alfredo

Angel and Bo Jalais

Marco Roni, and Clair Voyant

We look good...

His first stop! He wasn't so eager like this every time.

Eating candy...

This was what he liked doing most. :)

Princess "Belle," she is really good at being a princess. :)

Ready to go!
